Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is working with a media business in London seeking a Revenue Accountant. This role oversees the complete revenue process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and enhancing reporting practices. Candidates should have at least 4 years of relevant experience, strong Excel proficiency, and familiarity with project-based accounting. The position offers a salary between £50,000 and £65,000, with a hybrid work model allowing three days in the office and two days from home.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience working in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of project based accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar data visualization experience an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
  • Review timesheets and supplier costs to ensure accurate accruals and forecasts.
  • Reconcile WIP, deferred revenue, and accrued income balances.
  • Prepare revenue reports with key movements and variances.
  • Streamline and improve revenue recognition processes.
  • Work with project teams to forecast revenue and monitor margins.
  • Review project profitability and WIP; identify risks and corrective actions.
  • Manage intercompany revenue allocations for multi-studio projects.
  • Supervise and mentor an Accountant.
  • Act as the main finance contact for revenue-related issues.
  • Produce monthly KPIs and variance analyses.
  • Build dashboards to improve revenue visibility.
