Job summary

Learning and Work Institute invites applications for a Research Intern Graduate to join our London or Leicester office. You will contribute to our high-impact research, policy, and campaigning activities across the Strategic Plan, supporting colleagues across the organisation.

The role requires interest and some experience in statistical analysis and qualitative research methods, with duties spanning data collection, literature reviews, and project support.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject (economics, social sciences, research methods) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with quantitative data collection/analysis: descriptive statistics, data visualisation, significance testing, regression.
• Desirable: skills with Stata and SPSS.

Responsibilities

• Assist the L&W research team with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis across national/local data sources.
• Carry out literature and evidence reviews and write up key findings.
• Support income generation by contributing to research proposals.
• Work as part of project teams and participate in meetings.
• Assist in tasks to support the research team, including research administration.
• Proof-reading reports and marketing material for clarity and accuracy.
