A leading compliance consulting firm is seeking a Customs Classification Specialist to help clients ensure compliance with import/export regulations. This role offers a flexible hybrid work environment with minimal office days and the chance for significant career growth. Candidates should have experience in customs and a solid understanding of trade compliance. You will work directly with clients across various industries, providing clarity and accuracy in customs classification.

Qualifications

• Experience in customs, import/export or trade compliance.
• A solid grasp of WCO Harmonised System, Explanatory Notes, BTI’s etc.
• Confidence working with Excel and databases.
• A sharp eye for detail and the drive to get things right.
• Comfortable talking to clients and asking the right questions.
• Bonus points if you’ve worked in aerospace, automotive or engineering – or have 2–3 years’ classification experience.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be at the heart of our customs classification service, helping clients get it right first time.
• Classify products for UK, EU and US imports – giving clients clarity and compliance.
• Answer questions and solve classification queries – becoming their trusted expert.
• Keep our systems sharp – updating our TariffTel database when regulations change.
• Build relationships – you’ll be on calls, in meetings, and helping clients every day.
• Suggest improvements – see something that could work better? Say so, and we’ll listen.
