Job summary

Venn Apps in London is seeking a Software Engineer to help advance our SaaS platform for Shopify merchants. You will build and maintain high‑quality web applications and APIs that power our ecosystem, collaborating with designers and product managers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

The stack includes React, TypeScript, Next.js and Google Cloud Platform, with a strong emphasis on scalable serverless architectures.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience as a software engineer (or equivalent commercial experience).
• Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Experience with GCP or another cloud provider (e.g. AWS, Firebase, or Azure).
• Understanding of API design and asynchronous data handling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain performant, reliable web applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Contribute to our serverless GCP architecture - including Cloud Functions, Firestore, and Cloud Run.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to deliver beautiful, intuitive user interfaces.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Integrate with third-party APIs and Shopify's ecosystem.
• Contribute ideas to improve code quality, developer workflows, and overall architecture.
• Help shape new product features from concept to production.
