Job summary

Honeywell Building Automation is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Gatwick project team, delivering commercial guidance and ensuring projects meet time and budget requirements. You will develop commercial strategies to identify and manage risks and opportunities, and manage claims to protect and enhance margins and working capital.

This is a hybrid role with a 3+2 days model and travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) for reporting.
• Experience working with standard and bespoke contracts.
• Ability to develop and implement project commercial strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and execute project commercial strategies and monitor budget, estimate and completion and S-curve analysis.
• Guide and influence the Project Manager on commercial risks and opportunities; prepare and submit scope/time claims and variations.
• Maximise commercial opportunity to enhance margins and improve working capital; prepare applications for payments and accounts.
• Appraise and respond to sub-contractor and supplier applications and claims; prepare Pre-Contract Schedules of Rates for tenders.
