Qualifications

• Minimum three years managing a Payroll function required.
• Five years experience without relevant qualifications will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage day to day Payroll operations.
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions.
• Guide staff to reconcile Payroll accounts.
• Ensure timely payroll deductions and transfers.
• Work with HR on procedures for new starts and leavers.
• Participate in Payroll software development.
• Ensure timely Payroll returns to authorities.

Excellent technical payroll skills

Sound bookkeeping skills

Experience in computerised payroll systems

Advanced Excel skills

Knowledge of gross-to-net calculations

Education

Recognised qualification in UK payroll
