Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking experienced PRSO Officers (Private Rent Sector Offer) to support households owed a full housing duty by securing suitable private rented accommodation and managing cases through to successful housing outcomes.

Locations include Wembley with hybrid working. The role requires knowledge of homelessness legislation and PRSO processes, plus experience supporting vulnerable customers and managing complex cases.

Qualifications

• Experience working in homelessness, housing options or a similar housing service.
• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and PRSO processes.
• Experience supporting vulnerable customers.
• Excellent communication and case management skills.
• Able to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines.
• Confident working with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Assess housing needs and suitability of accommodation.
• Make Private Rented Sector Offers (PRSOs) in line with housing legislation.
• Complete affordability and income assessments.
• Manage a caseload of homelessness applications.
• Prepare decision letters and statutory notifications.
• Work closely with landlords, agents and partner organisations.
• Conduct property and customer visits when required.
• Maintain accurate records and case notes.
• Support vulnerable customers and manage complex cases.
