Job summary

Thames Water Shared Apprenticeship Scheme seeks a Project Manager Apprentice in the East London area. This role forms part of a sponsored scheme offering hands-on experience across project management tasks, site visits, and a structured rotation through different environments.

You will work with project teams and stakeholders to support scheduling, budgeting and quality assurance while developing communication and reporting skills aligned to the Associate Membership pathway.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4/C or above or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
  • Enthusiasm for project management and a desire to develop a career in the field.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites and training days.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, scheduling and coordinating project activities.
  • Support projects throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
  • Monitor project progress and report on performance, milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and records.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Assist with resource planning, budget monitoring and task allocation.
  • Identify and elevate project risks and issues where appropriate.
  • Support quality assurance, continuous improvement and lessons learned activities.
  • Work in line with organisational policies, legislation and governance requirements.
