Job summary

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking an Associate Commercial Lead to manage a portfolio of commercial activity supporting critical services. You will shape commercial solutions, provide commercial advice, and lead activity across the commercial lifecycle from market engagement to contract management.

You will build stakeholder relationships, exercise sound judgement, and deliver value for money in a fast-paced government environment.

Qualifications

Experience delivering procurement, sourcing or contract management activity.
Ability to balance cost, quality and risk to achieve value for money.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of commercial projects, procurements and contracts.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop commercial solutions.
Lead procurement and sourcing activity, including market engagement and competitive tenders.
Develop recommendations balancing cost, quality, risk and value for money.
Coordinate and chair stakeholder meetings to support decision-making.
Evaluate supplier proposals and support fair, evidence-based procurement decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes and generate savings.
Build relationships across commercial, finance, digital and operational teams.
Support contract and supplier management activities as required.
Maintain governance, assurance and audit standards.
