Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect based in London for a hybrid work model. You will guide customers to design scalable systems using MongoDB, collaborate with sales, and drive technical deals across startups to large enterprises.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of related industry experience, ideally 2 years in a customer facing role.
• 2+ years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#).
• Experience implementing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Ability to review complex architecture with customers and guide improvements using MongoDB technology.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for technical and business leadership audiences.
• Ability to work with a cross-functional sales team to drive end-to-end deals and pipelines.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design and Architect scalable, performant applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
• Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies, articulating business value.
• Collaborate with sales to drive account success through planning, qualification, and pipeline development.
• Generate demand within the sales territory through technical initiatives and events.
• Foster strong customer relationships, build champions, and ensure success and satisfaction.
• Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and pursue ongoing learning of MongoDB products.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with MongoDB product suite and industry trends.
