Job summary

Chadwick Nott are delighted to be representing a leading national law firm seeking a Planning Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join their growing team in Cardiff. The role focuses on planning, highways and related real estate matters, with hybrid working arrangements (2-3 days in-office weekly).

You will advise on planning permissions, conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, and draft complex agreements such as s.106. Strong drafting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in planning and highways law.
• Experience drafting complex agreements such as s.106, highway and land development.
• Exceptional drafting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on planning permission strategies and negotiations for statutory agreements.
• Conduct due diligence for planning aspects of real estate and corporate transactions.
• Provide guidance on EIA, CIL, and Village Greens.
• Assist with risk management by auditing planning documents and handling appeals.
• Manage own caseload while collaborating with senior colleagues on development matters. Business development will be a key aspect.
