Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Occupational Health Advisor / OH Nurse / OH Practitioner.
  • Ability to conduct face-to-face health assessments.
  • Experience in delivering health surveillance and fitness for work assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct case management and employee health assessments.
  • Travel to client sites for face-to-face OH assessments.
  • Complete pre-employment medical screening.

Hybrid Occupational Health Advisor – Chester / Liverpool / Home-Based

Locations: Chester, Liverpool, Ellesmere Port, Home-Based

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + benefits

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hrs (Mon–Fri, 08:30–16:30) – Part-time may be considered

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

OH Medical is recruiting on behalf of a leading Occupational Health provider for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join their Chester and Liverpool team. This hybrid role offers flexibility with most days remote, while requiring 5 days per month onsite with a nuclear weapons client and occasional travel to other clients within an hour of home.

You will deliver a full Occupational Health service, including case management, health surveillance, PPQs, first day absence management, and other face‑to‑face assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct case management and employee health assessments
  • Carry out health surveillance and fitness for work assessments
  • Complete pre‑employment medical screening
  • Support employees with physical and mental health concerns
  • Maintain high clinical standards in occupational healthcare
  • Travel to client sites as required for face‑to‑face OH assessments
Who We’re Looking For
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
  • Proven experience as an Occupational Health Advisor / OH Nurse / OH Practitioner
  • Strong case management experience
  • OH Nursing qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to travel to client sites within an hour of home
