Hackajob Ltd is hiring a Machine Learning Implementation Engineer in Cheltenham to design, build, and refactor complex ML models, moving them from experimental stages to high-quality production software for the National Security Domain.

You will optimize models for edge devices, mentor juniors, and stay current with AI best practices, delivering robust proofs of concept and scalable solutions aligned with organizational security requirements.

Qualifications

• Broad ML expertise with algorithms/frameworks understanding
• Experience maturing research-grade AI/ML code into production-ready software
• Ability to evaluate new generative AI technologies for business relevance in a security context
• Experience delivering robust proofs of concept bridging research and production
• Ability to act as a technical resource for practical AI deployment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and refactor complex ML models for production
• Harden research-derived software for higher TRLs for NSD deployment
• Design/manage integration of ML models into larger software architectures
• Optimize models for resource-constrained environments (edge/mobile)
• Stay current with AI best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability
• Refine model code for performance and overcome deployment hurdles
• Mentor junior team members and influence technical decisions
• Handle complex, non-routine problems
