Job summary

Levy Merchandising in Manchester is seeking a Merchandising Assistant to support planning, forecasting and trading of product categories. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver sales, profit and stock targets and help ensure the right products are available at the right time.

The role offers hybrid working between the Manchester office and home, a 37.5 hour week and a salary of £27,000–£32,000 plus benefits, with growth opportunities in a fast‑paced retail business.

Qualifications

• Highly analytical with strong numerical and problem‑solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools.
• Experience producing and analysing trading, sales and stock performance reports.

Responsibilities

• Support Merchandiser in planning, forecasting and trading product categories to achieve sales, profit and stock targets.
• Produce and analyse weekly trading reports, identify risks and opportunities, and make recommendations to maximise sales and profitability.
• Monitor sales performance, stock levels and intake, reforecasting demand and optimising stock availability.
• Manage purchase orders, deliveries and supplier critical paths to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve supply chain issues.
• Provide clear reporting on trading performance and collaborate on seasonal planning and budgeting.
