Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment seeks an Assistant Merchandiser for an international retailer, hybrid working arrangement, 18-month FTC. You will support forecasting, stock planning, WSSI and OTB management, and work closely with Buyers to deliver the right product mix.

You will analyse sales and stock data, produce weekly trade reports, assist with pricing and promotions, manage purchase orders and monitor deliveries, and help monthly reforecasts.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising Assistant/Allocator experience.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret sales and stock data.
• Highly organised with planning and time management skills.
• Confident Excel user; familiarity with merchandising systems is a plus.
• Commercial mindset with a passion for retail and product.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and plan stock to hit sales and profit targets.
• Manage WSSI and OTB in line with business requirements.
• Analyse sales, stock and performance data for opportunities and risks.
• Monitor best/worst sellers; advise on repeats, markdowns and replenishment.
• Collaborate with Buyers to deliver the right product mix each season.
• Produce weekly trade reports and provide insights for decisions.
• Support pricing, promos and seasonal planning across product areas.
• Raise and track purchase orders; monitor deliveries and delays.
• Review stock cover and actions to maintain healthy inventory.
• Develop relationships with Buying, Design, Supply Chain and suppliers.
• Assist with monthly reforecasts and seasonal planning activity.
• Ensure merchandising administration is completed accurately and on time.
