Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for East London to optimise processes for high-precision components. You will collaborate with production, quality and R&D to improve efficiency, reduce costs and assure manufacturability.

The role requires 4+ years in manufacturing engineering, CAD/CAM and Lean Six Sigma expertise, with hybrid on-site and remote analysis. A strong collaborative mindset and ISO 9001 knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in manufacturing engineering focused on precision components.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and simulations.
• Strong Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Experience with CNC machining or injection molding desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficient in data analysis and SPC.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Hybrid work adaptability with on-site East London collaboration.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for precision components.
• Analyze production data to identify efficiency, cost, and quality improvements.
• Create and maintain process documents like work instructions and control plans.
• Collaborate with design engineers for manufacturability and feedback on DFM.
• Troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects and process improvements.
• Oversee equipment selection, implementation, and validation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements.
• Train personnel on new processes and equipment.
• Manage projects for process improvements and new product introductions.
