Job summary

Lightfoots Solicitors is seeking an experienced Legal Finance Manager to lead the client accounts function and support the firm’s financial management. The role oversees client money handling, legal cashiering, billing and finance operations, ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules 2019.

Based in Thame with an initial three days in the office and a future hybrid pattern, you will drive automation with the in-house development team and provide senior finance support to the CFO, including

Qualifications

• ILFM Associate or Fellowship qualifications or equivalent AAT/CIMA/ACCA.
• Detailed knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules 2019.
• Strong AML and VAT understanding.
• Experience preparing management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
• Several years in a law firm finance environment.
• Experience supervising client accounts functions.
• Experience using legal practice management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and integrity.
• Knowledge of partnership and LLP accounting.
• Advanced Excel reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client money handling in line with SRA Accounts Rules.
• Manage client accounting, banking, receipts and reconciliations.
• Lead legal cashiering and finance support teams.
• Support CFO with financial reporting and year-end processes.
