Job summary

Sony Europe is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to support its Sports businesses from Weybridge. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating technology and software services contracts, advising across jurisdictions, and handling IP, R&D and NDA matters.

You will work closely with the business to provide practical legal guidance, manage disputes, and educate teams on key legal topics within a fast-paced global environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified to practice law in England and Wales (consideration for other European jurisdictions).
• Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts including services, procurement, IP, R&D and NDAs.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice across jurisdictions.
• Advise on commercial disputes, litigation and regulatory compliance, engaging external counsel as required.
• Advise on AI legal issues and governance frameworks.
• Support corporate projects and provide training on key legal topics.
