Job summary

The University of Manchester seeks a RBE Officer to support businesses in the Greater Manchester region and beyond, accelerating innovation in advanced materials systems. You will engage SMEs, manage transition to assessment, and translate innovation while connecting regional businesses to national supply chain needs.

The role focuses on supporting the Sustainable Materials Manufacturing Centre (SMMC) operations, onboarding tenants/users, and developing a pipeline to access SMMC facilities,

Qualifications

Experience engaging with industry partners and SMEs to translate research into impact.
Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities across institutes and industry partners.
Strong communication and networking capabilities for stakeholder outreach.

Responsibilities

Engage Greater Manchester SMEs to accelerate innovation in advanced materials.
Support operational delivery of SMMC and coordinate onboarding of tenants/users.
Build a pipeline of businesses to access SMMC facilities and innovation programmes.
Collaborate with Royce/GEIC/Sustainable Materials Innovation Hub and partners' teams.
