Job summary

Cape Clarke in Manchester is recruiting an Industrial Disease Solicitor/Associate to take responsibility for a defendant caseload. The role focuses on occupational disease claims, with a profit-share element alongside salary.

You will defend NIHL, HAVS and asbestos-related claims and may handle asthma, dermatitis, and stress claims when instructed, while investigating exposure, causation and medical evidence to advise on prospects and settlement.

Qualifications

• A solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with around 1 - 5 years' relevant experience.
• A background in disease litigation and confidence managing your own files.
• Clear reporting and a practical approach to disputed evidence.

Responsibilities

• Defend occupational disease claims, including NIHL, HAVS and asbestos-related matters.
• Handle asthma, dermatitis and stress claims where instructed.
• Investigate exposure, causation and medical evidence.
• Advise on prospects, quantum and settlement.
