Job summary

Nomura is seeking an Associate/VP High Yield Bond Analyst to join the NCRAM team in London on a hybrid basis. You will conduct bottom-up research on high yield issuers, contribute to Global/European HY portfolios, and build coverage across sectors with investment responsibility.

The role focuses on research, analysis, and recommending credit strategies within a buy-side environment, interacting with portfolio managers and economists in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in high yield analysis or similar financial analysis.
• High-level understanding of fixed income market and economic research (bond math, risk, exposure).
• Some understanding of active management of fixed income securities, HY bonds.

Responsibilities

• Perform bottom-up research with thorough analysis of economic and industry trends and financial statements.
• Contribute to Global and European High Yield portfolios by researching corporate credits.
• Cover a variety of sectors over time to gain exposure to different companies.
• Provide investment recommendations for the capital structure and NCRAM strategies.
