Job summary

Randstad Digital is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer for a 6-month+ contract based in Manchester to build high-performance web applications. You will work across enterprise Java and Node.js back end services while delivering responsive frontends using React and TypeScript.

The role requires hands-on experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and modern database technologies. You will join a cross-functional team and split time between our Manchester office (2 days per week) and

Qualifications

• Tech Stack: Java, Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Architecture: Microservices, API design, and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Database & Tooling: SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Location: Based within commuting distance of Manchester; on-site 2 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js (Express/NestJS).
• Build modern, modular web interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Develop, test, and document RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Optimize database queries and schema performance across relational and NoSQL platforms.
• Work on-site in Manchester office 2 days per week with cross-functional team.
