VWV is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Bristol. The role covers month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting and process improvements, with the opportunity to support colleagues across the Finance team.

You will lead month-end close, prepare monthly entity accounts, maintain journals and reconciliations, and assist with cash flow, budgets and variances. Payroll, VAT, audits and system improvements are also part of the remit.

Formación

• Qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Strong month-end and year-end accounting experience with balance sheet controls and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with the team.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the month-end close process and prepare monthly legal entity accounts.
• Ensure journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting records are accurate and up to date.
• Maintain cash flow forecasts and monitor costs against budgets, investigate variances.
• Handle payroll accounting, pension submissions, VAT and banking covenant reporting.
• Coordinate annual statutory audit with external auditors and tax advisers; support finance system improvements.
