Job summary

Hertsmere Borough Council Careers is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the management accounting team in a hybrid role. You will provide operational and strategic financial support across all service areas, including budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial advice.

The role supports the Council's PMO and requires a professional with strong financial management experience and an accountancy qualification or equivalent local government finance knowledge.

• Strong financial management experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner, service leads and budget holders.
• Provide trusted financial advice to support effective decision-making.
• Support budget monitoring, forecasting and financial planning.
• Analyse complex financial information and present clear, practical recommendations.
• Help ensure resources are used effectively and aligned with priorities.
