Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with retail finance experience.
• Experience partnering with trading/merchandising teams.
• Strong understanding of sales, margin, stock and promotions.
• Familiar with WSSI forecasts and financial planning systems.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Partner with commercial and trading teams to provide financial insight into sales, margin, stock and promotions.
• Challenging trading decisions to improve profitability and commercial performance.
• Reviewing WSSI forecasts and reflecting changes in forecasts and expected results.
• Analyzing stock performance, working capital and P&L impacts.
• Supporting category planning with financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and trends, translating data into recommendations.
• Building relationships with non-finance stakeholders to influence trading performance.
• Driving improvements in commercial finance processes, reporting and analysis.
