Job summary

A financial services company in the North East seeks a detail-oriented Finance & HR Assistant to support finance and HR functions. This part-time role (minimum 20 hours/week) is hybrid, based in Darlington, with various tasks including invoice creation, bank reconciliation, and HR administration. Ideal candidates will have some accounting knowledge and be proactive. Salary is up to £28,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Some previous accounting knowledge required.
  • Experience in HR admin not essential.
  • Generalist experience in accounts department is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Invoice creation and payment chases.
  • Bank reconciliation and comparisons.
  • Reporting against targets and creating board summaries.
  • Processing expenses and supplier payments.
  • Assisting with onboarding new team members.
  • Monitoring all HR admin including employee benefits and payroll management.
