Job summary

Quest Oracle Community is seeking a Financial Controller to join our rapidly scaling tech-enabled team in Stockton-on-Tees on a hybrid basis. You will oversee monthly close cycles, manage plant costs, and drive governance and UK tax compliance, while supporting CFO with strategic rollout.

The ideal candidate holds ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications with strong forecasting and Excel modelling skills, and experience in manufacturing or engineering environments. Hybrid work with HQ visits 2–3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Full ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
• Solid experience as Financial Controller or similar.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environments.
• Willing to work on hybrid basis visiting HQ in Stockton-On-Tees 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles.
• Manage plant and manufacturing operational costs.
• Maintain balance sheet controls and internal governance.
• Prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP and assist audits.
• Lead cash flow forecasting with integrated models.
• Supervise payroll, fixed assets and ledgers.
• Support finance systems upgrades and AI tool adoption.
• Provide senior financial analysis for strategic decisions.
