Job summary

Wayve in London is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to validate onboard software before full-vehicle testing. You will design automated tests across embedded platforms and help scale validation through CI pipelines.

The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, debugging across hardware and software, and improving test coverage for faster iteration in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience testing embedded software systems, ideally on Linux or QNX-based platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages for test development.
• Understanding hardware/software interactions and debugging across system layers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and run automated tests for onboard software subsystems.
• Validate software behavior on embedded hardware platforms in HiL environments.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify test gaps and extend coverage.
• Debug and triage issues across software and hardware boundaries.
• Contribute to CI pipelines and reusable test frameworks for self-service testing.
• Expand test coverage by reusing validation tests earlier in development cycle.
