Job summary

SEA Ltd is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Inspector to support on-site inspection at our Barnstaple site. The role requires being onsite 4.5 days a week with a salary up to £32k, depending on experience.

You will inspect inbound and outbound materials, sub-assemblies and harnesses, ensuring compliance to wiring diagrams and IPC standards, and you will raise defect reports as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a precision electro/mechanical manufacturing environment.
• High degree of accuracy and numeracy.
• Experience of calibration requirements and procedures.
• Good written and oral communications.
• IPC training for wiring and PEC assembly would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound, in-process and outbound materials to IPC and wiring standards.
• Inspect sub-contracted castings, machined parts, fabrications and harnesses.
• Inspect internally manufactured assemblies against wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Raise electronic defect reports and contribute to FAIR reports.
• Perform insulation and continuity checks as required.
