Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a qualified Environmental Health Officer to join our Public Health and Protection Team on a 3-month contract. You will address general pollution and public health responsibilities, investigate nuisances, and enforce statutory measures across diverse sites.

The role requires a Degree in Environmental Health, registration with CIEH or eligibility, strong enforcement and evidence gathering skills, and the ability to travel for inspections.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent qualification.
• Registered Environmental Health Officer or eligibility for registration with CIEH.
• Strong understanding of environmental health legislation and enforcement capabilities.
• Experience investigating statutory nuisance complaints, noise, public health, pollution control, and verminous premises.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and handle complaints related to noise, odour, nuisance, and public health issues.
• Conduct inspections and site investigations and collect evidence for enforcement.
• Prepare legal documents and enforcement notices as needed.
• Assist planning and licensing consultations and provide environmental health insights.
