Job summary

Cabot Learning Federation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to provide leadership to the finance team and deliver high-quality statutory financial information. The role supports the Finance Director and requires strong governance, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will have wide interaction with Estates, Facilities, HR and IT teams, ensuring a robust service across the Trust, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or QBE with substantial financial and management accounting experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills within finance and corporate functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and transactions of the finance department.
• Deliver statutory financial information and support the Finance Director.
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement and manage priorities across the team.
• Develop knowledge of the Federation's activities and goals and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
