Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Defence Systems Engineering Lead to grow our defence capabilities and deliver high-quality outcomes on complex programmes. You will shape strategy, maintain senior client relationships and drive architecture, requirements, interfaces and verification across projects.

The role sits in the Defence Systems Engineering practice, with a focus on winning work, leading delivery and shaping propositions while ensuring secure, compliant and integrated solutions for

Qualifications

• Significant leadership on complex defence or safety-critical programmes.
• Strong understanding of UK defence market and procurement environment.
• Proven track record shaping strategy and propositions for large-scale consultancy.
• Experience with digital engineering and model-based systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set the defence systems engineering strategy and growth, shaping propositions and capture plans.
• Lead delivery across the lifecycle with governance, evidence and timely decisions.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and grow senior client relationships across projects.
• Represent WSP in industry forums and lead major bids with commercial rigour.
