Job summary

NOCN Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Digital Services team. Please note that while this role is classed as remote, there will be an element of office-based work in Sheffield once a week/a few times a month.

Reporting to the Group Director - Digital, you will deliver high-quality data services aligned with NOCN's strategic objectives, building data pipelines, modelling data, and applying AI tooling to accelerate resources and insights.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and running data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Strong SQL and data-modelling skills for modern data platforms.
• Experience with AI tooling to accelerate data setup and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines that connect systems into reusable resources.
• Model data in ClickHouse and ensure it is well-documented and analysis-ready.
• Use AI tooling to automate data work and support exploration.
• Deliver analyses and data products quickly with real evidence.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams from data need to delivery.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, security and GDPR compliance.
• Help establish data standards and mentor others in-house.
