Job summary

Havering Adult College in the London Borough of Havering is seeking an entrepreneurial Curriculum Development Manager to lead growth across Creative Industries, Arts & Crafts, Languages (including British Sign Language) and SEND provision.

You will own a high-impact portfolio, set ambitious curriculum and financial KPIs, and line-manage teaching staff while building partnerships with employers and communities. The role is a 24-month fixed-term contract with strong potential to continue.

Qualifications

• Extensive curriculum development experience.
• Ability to turn ideas into viable, sustainable provision.
• Experience leading teaching staff and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop an ambitious curriculum plan aligned to the Adult Learning Strategy.
• Identify and launch new accredited, tailored learning and fee-paying provision.
• Set and achieve learner recruitment, participation, quality and financial targets.
• Line-manage Specialist Teachers/Assessors and sessional staff.
• Use performance and market data to drive decisions and forecasts.
• Develop relationships to secure grants, commissioned activity and external funding.
• Strengthen SEND provision and create a sustainable SEND offer.
