Job summary

Capital-Law-1 is seeking an experienced credit controller to join the busy Finance team in Cardiff. The role focuses on maintaining an effective credit control function, building relationships with colleagues and clients, and supporting cash collection targets.

Key duties include chasing overdue invoices, keeping records up to date, responding to queries, and generating reports. Hybrid working is offered, with office presence in Cardiff for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of credit control experience.
• Confident, professional and assertive.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Accurate, efficient and organised with prioritisation ability.
• Experience in legal/professional services is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Chase overdue invoices by phone, email or letter within agreed timescales.
• Maintain records in the credit control system.
• Respond to client and internal queries promptly and thoroughly.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and reconciliations as required.
• Monitor invoice deliveries and discuss trends with Credit Manager.
• Check account status and send monthly statements.
• Collaborate with Credit Manager to address potential opportunities or problem debts.
