Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join our Sunbury office on a full-time, contract basis. You will prepare and report on project cost budgets and manage expenditures throughout the life cycle.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
• Proficient knowledge of cost software and related principles, tools and techniques including budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow.
• Proficient knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Cost Management including Change Management.
• Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Project WBS and CBS.
• Liaise with procurement, finance and time-capture functions to capture costs.
• Ensure costs are allocated accurately to WBS.
• Prepare project cost budgets and change estimates.
• Monitor cost performance and forecasts; report as required.
• Coordinate cost close-out processes.
