Job summary

Ips Finance, an independent firm of accountants in York, is seeking a Senior Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing team. This hybrid role offers flexible hours and a mix of compliance, advisory work and client relationship building with owner-managed businesses.

You will provide tax planning and advisory services focused on corporate tax, prepare and review complex returns, and work with colleagues to deliver a proactive, commercially focused service for clients across the region.

Qualifications

• Strong technical tax knowledge, ideally gained within an accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to manage client relationships independently.

Responsibilities

• Providing tax planning and advisory services to business owners, with a strong focus on corporate tax.
• Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities and advising on potential risks.
• Managing complex tax queries and HMRC negotiations.
• Advising on R&D claims and Structural Building Allowances.
• Supporting clients with wider tax matters, including CGT, IHT and VAT.
• Working closely with colleagues to deliver a proactive, commercially focused service.
