ACCA Careers are recruiting a Corporate Accountant to join our finance team in Preston. Hybrid working with an office base in Preston. You will contribute to balance sheet reconciliation controls and the Net Asset Position, and work on the Statement of Accounts with external auditors.

The role focuses on technical accounting and statutory requirements for local authorities. CCAB qualification or substantial experience is essential, with strong communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified CCAB or equivalent, or substantial accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills and ability to produce financial accounts.
• Organised, analytical and able to interpret complex financial information.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to balance sheet reconciliation controls and accuracy of the Net Asset Position.
• Assist with the Statement of Accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to statutory requirements for local authorities.
