Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking a Content QA Automation Lead for a London‑hybrid 6 month contract in a globally recognised gaming and entertainment company. The role focuses on reducing manual testing through automation across large-scale digital content and customer journeys.

You will define automation strategy, build regression suites and integrate automation into CI/CD and CMS releases, collaborating with Engineering and Content QA teams to drive measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years focused on test automation, ideally in a gaming setting.
• Experience automating testing for large-scale consumer websites or digital content platforms.
• Strong practical experience with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
• Understanding of CI/CD and version control.
• Experience with accessibility and/or performance testing.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills.
• A pragmatic approach to identifying where automation adds value.

Responsibilities

• Defining and delivering the automation strategy for Content QA.
• Building and maintaining automated regression, functional and cross-browser test suites.
• Automating monitoring of live content and customer journeys.
• Evaluating and implementing QA and AI‑assisted testing tools.
• Integrating automation into CI/CD and CMS release processes.
• Working closely with Engineering, Development and Content QA teams.
• Enabling the wider QA team to use and interpret automated testing.
• Measuring the impact of automation through coverage, defects caught, time saved and cycle‑time reduction.
