Job summary

Cumberland Farms in Horwich is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager – Planning to support the head of commercial finance in delivering reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You will work with stakeholders across the business to drive profitability using financial analysis and commercial insight.

The role focuses on identifying profitability opportunities, improving reporting processes and presenting insights to senior management. Hybrid working is available; a DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be CIMA or ACCA qualified, or finalist in progress.
• Experience in commercial finance, FP&A, budgeting or forecasting.
• Proficiency in producing and analysing financial reports and dashboards.
• Ability to translate financial information for senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proactive business partnering and relationship-building.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly and monthly commercial reports and dashboards to monitor business performance.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting activities, including quarterly forecasting requirements.
• Analyse commercial performance and KPIs to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Act as a key contact for commercial reporting and analysis, providing insight to support business decisions.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify gaps in existing processes and implement cross-functional improvements.
• Present financial analysis and commercial insights to senior stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and activities that support the wider commercial finance function.
