Job summary

Vanguard seeks a Cloud Security Engineer in Manchester to design and evolve cloud-native cybersecurity platforms across the stack, from the database to the CDN. The role is permanent with a Hybrid work setup, joining a team delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions.

The successful candidate will implement MFA, zero-trust principles, manage IAM and encryption, and collaborate with product owners to drive secure deployment practices while continuously improving security tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing secure cloud platforms and IAM architectures.
• Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve cloud-native cybersecurity platforms across the stack, from the database to the CDN.
• Implement MFA, passkeys, and zero-trust principles and develop defenses against account takeover and fraud.
• Integrate with leading identity providers (Auth0, Transmit, Ping).
• Optimize cloud systems for performance, resilience, and efficiency.
• Partner with Product owner to deliver strategic, technically sound solutions.
• Drive technical excellence through standards, tooling, and ownership of deployments and operations from development through production.
