Job summary

Plexus Psychiatry in the United Kingdom is seeking CAMHS Consultants for a part-time hybrid role to provide clinical assessments and management plans for children and young people with mental health needs. You will conduct virtual consultations, review histories, and document care plans.

You will liaise with families, schools, and professionals, contribute to treatment strategies and risk management, and participate in MDT meetings while staying up-to-date with guidelines and CPD.

Qualifications

• CCT in child and adolescent psychiatry or CAMHS with ability to assess and manage a broad range of youth mental health conditions.
• Strong clinical risk assessment and crisis management skills for complex presentations and safeguarding.
• Excellent communication with families, carers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams in remote settings.
• Competence using telepsychiatry and remote documentation with good time management and organisation.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and CPD; adherence to professional/ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations and review clinical histories and reports.
• Liaise with families, schools and other professionals; document care plans and notes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to risk management and treatment planning.
• Provide guidance on medication plans and psychoeducation as appropriate.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of guidelines and best practices; engage in supervision as required.
