Job summary

Brooks Macdonald Group in London seeks a Business Development Associate to support telephone-based distribution and drive sales across key UK adviser channels. You will promote investment funds and MPS, develop adviser relationships, and contribute to due diligence activities within a regulated environment.

The role requires strong communication, practical understanding of funds and models, and the ability to manage CRM-driven campaigns while meeting activity and sales targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in telephone sales or business development within UK investments, asset management, platforms, pensions or wealth management.
• Strong understanding of investment funds and Model Portfolio Services, and how advisers assess suitability and value.
• Ability to communicate technical investment concepts clearly to intermediary audiences.
• Solid knowledge of UK regulatory expectations relevant to distribution, including FCA financial promotions standards and Consumer Duty principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a segmented telephone panel across IFAs, restricted advisers, wealth managers, adviser networks and platforms.
• Promote the firm’s investment funds and MPS range in line with each channel’s advice model and target client base.
• Support adviser due diligence by explaining proposition features, investment process and service model clearly.
• Develop direct relationships with advisers and paraplanners, and support inclusion on recommended lists or panel discussions where appropriate.
• Maintain CRM records, track contact coverage and opportunity stages, and support campaign tracking and sales influence.
