Job summary

University of Surrey is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support delivery of construction and refurbishment projects from £50k to £5m within our diverse estate. The role involves developing briefs, appointing consultants, managing contracts and stakeholders, and supporting business cases.

A hybrid on-campus presence is expected, with 3 days per week on site. You will work under the Head of Built Environment Projects and collaborate with academics, technical managers and professional

Qualifications

• Proven project delivery experience within a diverse and complex operating environment.
• Working knowledge of the JCT 2024 Suite of Contracts (training will be provided for the right candidate).
• Experience in procuring and managing external consultants to achieve project objectives.
• Desire and motivation to contribute towards continual improvement of our project delivery model.

Responsibilities

• Develop client briefs and appoint specialist consultants and contractors for project delivery.
• Manage formal Construction Contracts and client relationships, scope, financial performance, quality and programme adherence.
• Support development of business cases and oversee delivery within Estates and Facilities Department.
