Curtis Recruitment Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to support a growing firm of accountants. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified with bookkeeping and management accounting experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.

The role offers a flexible, hybrid working pattern, early finish on Fridays, discretionary bonus, study support, pension, free onsite parking, social events and access to a rewards scheme.

Qualificações

• Recent and relevant bookkeeping experience in a UK accountancy practice
• AAT qualified (exceptional qualified by experience may be considered)
• Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns and reconciling control accounts
• Management accounts experience desirable with training provided
• Hands-on, diligent with excellent client interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail
• Team player with a strong work ethic and drive
• Ability to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines

Responsabilidades

• Daily bookkeeping in Xero accounting software including processing invoices and bank reconciliations
• Reviewing bookkeeping prepared by junior team members
• Reconciliations of control accounts
• Posting monthly wages journals
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Preparing and filing VAT returns and CIS returns
• Liaising with clients on queries and submissions
• Attending client premises to undertake bookkeeping on site
• Providing training to clients on Xero
• Other ad-hoc duties
