Job summary

A leading UK insurance brand is looking for an individual to provide expert company secretarial support to boards in the UK and US. This role involves promoting corporate governance practices and ensuring compliance, alongside providing board and committee support, including minute-taking. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in company secretarial practices and expertise with board meeting software. This full-time position offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility alongside competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Extensive company secretarial experience gained from in-house and/or private practice roles.
  • Provision of board and committee support including minute taking.
  • Liaising and building relationships with directors and senior management.
  • Experience of company secretarial entity management and board meeting software.

Responsibilities

  • Promote strong corporate governance practices and ensure compliance.
  • Implement new processes to improve the experience of departmental stakeholders.
  • Prepare statutory governance reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Support Boards and committees by managing agendas and producing minutes.
  • Maintain statutory registers and ensure all filing requirements are met.

Skills

Strong Company Secretarial Expertise in a small team
Board & Committee Support (Including technical Minute Taking)
Detailed experience in the corporate governance environment of the life insurance industry

Education

Educated to Degree level or equivalent
Part or fully CGI qualified
