Scale Factory in London seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Solution Architect to join our growing team. You will lead solution discovery and design, translate business needs into secure cloud architectures, and provide architectural guidance throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for Security Clearance.
• Excellent Communication: ability to communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Business Acumen: understand business drivers, translate requirements into solutions, evaluate trade-offs.
• Pre-Sales & RFPs: support pre-sales activities, develop technical proposals and present approaches.
• Proof of Concepts (POCs): define and develop POCs to validate approaches.
• Technical Leadership: provide architectural guidance and mentor junior colleagues.
• AWS Expertise: design secure, scalable AWS solutions and articulate their business value.
• Solution Architecture: design end-to-end cloud solutions including legacy workloads, microservices, containers, and integration patterns.
• Cloud & DevOps Knowledge: strong understanding of cloud technologies, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Networking Knowledge: strong understanding of cloud networking, DNS, gateways, load balancers, connectivity.
• Security & Compliance: AWS security services, ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation: IaC approaches with Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK; scripting with Python/Ansible/Bash/PowerShell.
• Azure or Google Cloud Experience: compare cloud offerings, including migrations.
• AWS Professional Certifications

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers as a trusted architectural advisor across engagements.
• Lead discovery engagements translating requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Define end-to-end solution architectures and document key design decisions.
• Support the Sales Team with pre-sales, solution design and technical input to proposals.
• Provide architectural guidance and assurance throughout delivery.
• Act as a technical authority on cloud architecture and best practices.
