Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a Locum Adults Social Worker for the Adult Care Assessment and Triage Team in Matlock, Derbyshire. The role offers hybrid working with a minimum two days in the office, and a pay rate of £35.00 per hour with flexible full or part-time hours to suit workload and commitments.

The post requires HCPC-registered social work with Degree and ASYE or equivalent experience, plus knowledge of Care Act 2014 and safeguarding processes in a UK Local Authority.

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
• ASYE or equivalent post-qualification experience.
• Current registration with Social Work England.

Responsibilities

• Undertake initial Adult Social Care triage, assessment, and screening of referrals received by the service.
• Conduct strengths-based and person-centred assessments, identifying eligible needs under the Care Act 2014.
• Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns and contribute to Section 42 safeguarding enquiries in line with local and national procedures.
• Complete Mental Capacity Act assessments and contribute to Best Interest decision-making where required.
• Provide information, advice, signposting, and preventative interventions to reduce, delay or prevent the need for statutory services.

Education

Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Social Work

ASYE or equivalent post-qualification experience
