Qualifications

  • Part-Qualified actuary and actively studying for the Actuarial exams.
  • High level of numeracy skills and an analytical approach to work.
  • Data management and good programming skills (e.g. SQL, R, VBA) are an advantage.
  • Excellent team-working, communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Serious attitude towards compliance with attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with UK Reserving teams to collate and review quarterly reserve reviews.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of reserving data and actuarial bookings.
  • Provide insights into underlying performance for Finance, Pricing, and Underwriting teams.
  • Support audit activities by supplying relevant actuarial data.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to actuarial processes.
  • Support the Capital team in the parameterisation of premium and reserve risks.
  • Deliver actuarial analysis to shape business plans.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to address specific business needs.
