Job summary

CDL Software is recruiting an organised Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team in the North West. The role focuses on purchase ledger activities, supplier expenses, credit cards and reconciliations, with ownership of workload and deadlines.

You will support cashbook, sales ledger and month-end tasks while the Finance team transitions to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. A varied role suited to meticulous and proactive candidates in a growing software house.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a purchase ledger, accounts payable or similar Finance role.
• Strong numerical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a varied Finance role and moving between different activities.
• Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Able to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
• Experience with supplier statement reconciliations and employee expenses is desirable.
• AAT studies or membership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Register supplier invoices promptly and accurately in the Purchase Invoice Register (PIR).
• Monitor the invoice approval process and follow up outstanding authorisations.
• Transfer authorised invoices from the PIR to the purchase ledger.
• Process employee expense claims with receipts and proper coding.
• Process and reconcile company credit card transactions and follow up missing receipts.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate differences.
• Respond to supplier queries and resolve outstanding issues.
• Maintain supplier master data and ledger entries.
• Support payment runs and month-end activities.
